Welcome to the Web site of the George Feher and Melvin Okamura lab in the Physics Dept. of the University of California, San Diego.

Our scientific interests revolve around the use of physical techniques and theories to unravel the primary processes of photosynthesis. The most important tools we employ are:

     *  Recombinant DNA Techniques

     *  Magnetic Resonance (EPR, ENDOR)

     *  Optical Spectroscopy (time resolved)

     *  X-ray Diffraction
