Please submit a course evaluation for 212A. Please be constructive. Thanks!

My office hours on Thursday (12/3) will be truncated: from 3:15-4. I will also plan to be available during the would-be lecture time next Monday 12/7 (12:30-2).

I just learned that Wendesday November 11, 2015 is a university holiday, so there is no lecture. Homework 6 is therefore due in discussion section on Thursday, or under the door of my office before then. 2015.11.07
I am told that: ``Students will have the opportunity to evaluate the following Fall 2015 courses between Monday, October 19 at 12:00 AM and Sunday, October 25 at 11:59 PM: PHYS 212A - Quantum Mechanics I." I think you know how to do this (if you don't, please ask). Please take this opportunity to give me some (anonymous) feedback about how our course is going, while there is still time to make improvements. Please be polite; I am a very sensitive person. 2015.10.20
Indeed, for hw 1, problem 8, we need to assume that the operators are normal. Note that for problem 11, it is not necessary that the dimension of the hilbert space is finite. 2015.10.14
You can hand in the homework at lecture on Wednesday. (There was a typo in the problem statement in the due time.) 2015.10.05
I've posted the first installment of the lecture notes, and the first homework assignment (due in ten days). Please send me email if you find typos or errors or turgidity or other bad things I should excise. 2015.09.27
Welcome to graduate quantum mechanics. 2015.09.11
