| 05-31-03:
Special WEEK 10 Instructions Make sure you attend your regular lab section during week 10 (Jun 02-Jun06), in order to get your 5 pts for the "post-quiz" (remember that the post-quiz score is NOT dropped from your total lab score -- you get the full five points for just taking it, and you get zero points for not taking it.) VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure that you check personally with your lab TA that your grades are all correctly recorded before leaving your week 10 lab. Special Office Hours: Your final lab grades will be posted by Thursday morning, Jun 05. I will not have office hours on Thursday, but I will have them on FRIDAY, JUN 06, 1000am-1200pm (in the quiz room). If there are any problems with the posted grades, you need to contact me in-person about them during that time. Congratualtions on surviving 1A, and Good Luck on Your Finals!!! |

| 04-13-03:
QUIZ CODE NUMBERS: Make sure to give your quiz code numbers to your TAs this week. Without them, we cannot post your grades. |

INSTRUCTIONS FOR WEEK 2: Before coming to your lab section in week 2, you need to download the lab manual (see below), study your in-lab procedures, and do your prelab homework. You will hand-in your prelab homework at the beginning of your lab section. You will need a lab notebook with graph-paper pages and any sort of ability to make carbon-copies of your prelab homework (you will hand-in your original copies of your prelab homework, and you will need to keep the carbon-copies for yourself so you can reference it during lab.) |

| 03-30-03: WELCOME
TO PHYSICS 1A ! During the first week of Labs (Monday, March 31 through Friday, April 04), you will take a "pre-quiz" in your registered lab section. There's nothing to study for, and you don't have to worry about how well you'll do. You get five points just for taking the "pre-quiz" (it doesn't matter how well you do on the quiz, but you must take it for full-credit.) Please bring a No. 2 pencil and a copy of the Lab Syllabus handed-out in Lecture. |

There is always a Lab Instructor (LI) on-duty any time the labs are in-session. If you need extra help with your labs, you can contact an on-duty LI for help. They will be either in the LI office (WLH 2125) or in one of the 1ABC lab rooms. It's a good idea to try to contact the LI for your particular course (i.e., contact the 1A LI if you're in Physics 1A), but if that's not possible with your schedule, feel free to contact any on-duty lab instructor. To find out when a particular LI is on duty, click here for the Lab Instuctors' schedule.
