Yaojun Zhang receives 2016 Chancellor's Dissertation Award The UCSD Graduate Student Association is pleased to announce the winners of the 2016 Chancellor's Dissertation Awards. The Chancellor rewards the student in each division whose dissertation was deemed the best from a pool of department nominees. Selections were made by committees of faculty assembled by the division deans. GSA salutes the following new PhD's for their excellent, award-winning research:

Arts & Humanities: Tomoya Sato (Philosophy)
Biological Sciences: Valentino M. Gantz (Cell and Developmental Biology)
Jacob's School of Engineering: Adam Printz (NanoEngineering)
Scripps Institute of Oceanography: Jenan Kharbush (Oceanography)
Physical Sciences: Yaojun Zhang (Physics)
Social Sciences: Nofit Itzhak (Anthropology)

The Chancellor's Dissertation Awards will be presented to these students when they are hooded in the Graduate Division Graduation Ceremony on June 11 at 1:30 pm.
